Typical Ideation Process Overview

Background Research and Planning.

  • Research into partner industry, offerings, problem sets and history
  • Memorialization of pre-sales discussions and initial informal knowledge elicitation documentation
  • Planning for Ideation Session including scope, agenda, presentation, appropriate Enterra and partner staffing, logistics, scheduling, etc.

2-day on-site meeting.

    High-level overview of partner business & technology environment
    High-level overview of Enterra technology & capabilities
    Joint Ideation session(s) to identify challenges & opportunities, including:
    • Prioritization based on applicability of technology, potential impact and scope of implementation effort Definition of use cases

Creation and review of high-level solution approaches for key uses cases identified during the Ideation sessions.

  • May involve some additional Q&A sessions or analysis into problem areas

Creation of a Conceptual Crawl-Walk-Run Roadmap.

Definition of a crawl-stage proof-of-concept (PoC) statement of work, this includes:

  • Joint specification of PoC goal & scope. This is a consultative process to ensure that the PoC meets the requirements of the appropriate stake holders
  • Calculation of PoC pricing. This may include a co-investment from Enterra
  • Creation of an initial schedule along with identification of key dependencies and deliverables

Enterprise Resilience Management Methodology®

The Enterprise Resilient Management Methodology (ERMM) is a framework, consisting of best-practices methodology and a standards-based technology solution. The framework is designed to make the organization resilient to the challenges, and the opportunities, of global and rapid technological change. ERMM identifies an organization’s critical assets, the business processes that support those assets, and the rules that make up those processes. Rules can consist of the steps required to comply with regulations, or of an organization’s operating procedures and best practices. The rules are then automated using standards-based languages such as BPEL, Java and XML.

The result is a series of automated processes that connect an organization’s previously siloed departments and IT systems. Once automated, the processes operate quickly and consistently, with a greatly reduced risk of error. In both cases, information about processes in progress is served to managers and decision-makers so they can intervene as needed.
