Stephen DeAngelis Contributes to CGT’s 2015 Review & Outlook

Consumer Goods Technology magazine once again asked Enterra Solutions’ President and CEO, Stephen DeAngelis, to contribute his thoughts for its latest “Review & Outlook” issue. Commenting in the “Sales & Marketing Trends” section of the magazine, Mr. DeAngelis noted that Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO) was ripe for the application of cognitive computing capabilities. He noted that, by applying cognitive computing technologies, manufacturers and their retail partners could “disrupt the marketplace in the area of TPO.” He went on to say that “data science and technologies, such as cognitive computing, have matured and can now analyze information and generate insights in near-real-time without having to add high-cost, hard-to-recruit data scientists to perform the analysis. He concluded that these new technologies were “a big change from the past.”
