Stephen DeAngelis, President and CEO of Enterra Solutions, LLC founded the company in 2002 to offer leadership in the emerging field of Enterprise Resilience Management™ (ERM™). After two decades helping companies in technology, manufacturing, government affairs, and banking to optimize their investments in people, processes and information technology he recognized the emerging paradigms for managing risk in the 21st century.

Mr. DeAngelis invented Enterprise Resilience Management as a way to systemically address the challenges of globalization after September 11. Enterra Solutions creates Resilient Enterprises™ through a best-practices consulting methodology with a technology solution that transforms rule sets into code and gives managers real-time information and collaborative control capabilities. Since creating Enterra's proprietary Enterprise Resilience Management Solution™ (ERMS™), Mr. DeAngelis has driven the concept of Enterprise Resilience Management at the highest levels of the public and private sector, attracting prestigious partners, customers and investors.

In 2006, the Computational Sciences and Engineering Division of Oak Ridge National Laboratory named Mr. DeAngelis a Visiting Scientist. In this role, he collaborates with the Directorate to define a strategic scientific agenda in the area of innovative information management processes. Using automation, ERM structures government and commercial policy-sharing rule sets and standards into highly reliable information networks.

Mr. DeAngelis is also a Visiting Scientist at Carnegie Mellon's Software Engineering Institute (SEI), where he has worked with SEI since 2004 to create new methodologies in Enterprise Resilience Management and set the foundation for the next generation of the Operationally Critical Threat and Vulnerability Evaluation (OCTAVE®) methodology for assessing organizational risk. Recently, Enterra Solutions formalized a unique Creative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with SEI. Mr. DeAngelis is currently partnering with other subject matter experts at SEI on building the next-generation information assurance and standards-based risk and performance management methodology.

In addition to his Visiting Scientist appointments, Mr. DeAngelis, in May 2006, was appointed a Senior Fellow and Adjunct Professor at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in King's Point, New York. Teaching a Global Maritime and Transportation School (GMATS) course on Global Resilience, the focus of DeAngelis' work as a Senior Fellow will involve foundational and applied research as well as development in the area of Global Resilience in the U.S. maritime and inter-modal supply chain. His post-graduate course on Global Resilience will educate the next generation of leaders in the maritime industry on globalization. Mr. DeAngelis guides future leaders to master the means of making their organizations and assets resilient to asymmetric threats. He emphasizes systematic agility to identify and exploit opportunities through an integrated approach to security, compliance and performance management.

Esquire Magazine named Mr. DeAngelis its "Best and Brightest Innovator" in its December 2006 edition.

Prior to Enterra, Mr. DeAngelis founded and served as CEO of IndustryNetworks, LLC, an emerging technology company, where he launched one of the first web-service enabled supply chain management systems. At IndustryNetworks, Mr. DeAngelis helped pioneer the field of comprehensive Web-based secure supply chain services, including Web-enabled offerings in sourcing, procurement, logistics and demand forecasting. The company’s clients included public utilities and specialty chemical companies. Mr. DeAngelis also served as President and CEO of Mercer Industrial Holdings, LLC, and its portfolio firm, Technical Coatings Industries, Inc. He founded a strategy and government affairs consultancy, served as a member of the Bank of Boston’s Strategic Planning Group and as a legal assistant to a senior partner at O'Melveny & Myers, LLP (formerly O’Sullivan, Graev & Karabell).

Mr. DeAngelis earned a B.A. in international affairs from the School of International Service at American University, concentrating in U.S. security and defense policy and Sino-American affairs. Active in his local community, Mr. DeAngelis serves on the Board of Directors of the Hepatitis B Foundation, the only non-profit organization solely dedicated to the global problem of Hepatitis B. The organization's mission is to find a cure and improve the quality of life for those affected by Hepatitis B. He was also the past Chairman of the Welcome House Committee, a member of the Executive Committee of Pearl S. Buck International, and has performed volunteerism with Sasha Bruce Youthworks in Washington, DC. DeAngelis is a former member of the Upper Makefield Volunteer Fire Company.
