Flex Developer
Job Summary:
Enterra Solutions is looking for skilled Flex / ActionScript developers to join their team. The successful candidates will be directly involved in the development and enhancement of the company's software suite for Enterprise Resilience Management. This software suite is used by the company and its clients to transform Service Oriented Architectures (SOA's) and Process Oriented Architectures into Resilient Technology Architectures (RTA's) through the unique application of business rules, process modeling and automated code generation.
This position works closely with business representatives, IT Management, and software development and support teams to develop and maintain an enterprise solution at the conceptual, logical, and physical levels. The position requires an individual to be able to make sound technical decisions, exercise good problem solving skills, and maintain project focus.
Qualifications:
- Solid knowledge of Flex & ActionScript 3.0 API’s, syntax and constructs
- Strong familiarity and or use of Adobe ASDoc
- Proven experience with RPC, WSDL, XML and AMF protocols
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Adobe Cairngorm architecture a plus but not required
- Familiarity with Adobe Flex Data Services (FDS) a plus but not required
- Object Oriented Programming and related best practices (Java, C#, etc…)
- Common software design patterns; MVC, Singleton, Factory, Command
- UI design best practices and general usability design experience
- A solid understanding of both synchronous and asynchronous programming
- Flash experience a plus but not required
- SOA and enterprise architecture experience a plus but not required
- Minimum of BA or BS job related degree
