Enterra Solutions, LLC Reaches Port Security Agreement with Det Norske Veritas (DNV)

Joint Professional Services Agreement Expands Maritime Knowledge Base

RESTON, Va. (May 30, 2007) – Enterra Solutions, LLC today announced an agreement with Det Norske Veritas (DNV) to build operational resiliency into global port operations and supply chain services. The effort will help ports quickly pivot their business processes to address changing environments, while minimizing negative downstream impact from security threats.

Enterra and DNV will develop automated best-practice rule sets and business processes to help global logistics programs improve port operations and security, while also complying with international laws and regulations surrounding supply chain logistics. The result is a next-generation solution that will allow shippers to model various business scenarios and generate “best practice” business processes within a dynamic enterprise risk management system.

“The value of DNV’s exceptional subject matter expertise in port operations, information quality and enterprise risk management will be multiplied when placed into automated rule sets,” said Enterra CEO Stephen DeAngelis. “The Enterra-DNV team’s solutions will improve port operations and logistical systems performance, as well as provide organizations the agility to adeptly change operational tactics while running at full speed.”

“We are excited to team up with Enterra Solutions and to contribute with our company’s expertise in information quality management, global shipping, and logistics as we continue to strive to lead the industry,” said DNV’s head of US Information Quality Management Boye Tranum. “Our team will apply Enterra’s automated best-practice rule sets and procedures to benefit clients worldwide.”

Enterra’s entrance into the maritime sector began earlier this year when it aligned with Philadelphia-based Holt Logistics to deploy its Enterprise Resilience Management Solution™ and ResilienceNet™ capability for weapons of mass destruction protection and response at the Packer Avenue Marine Terminal in the Port of Philadelphia.
