Stephen DeAngelis, President & CEO
Stephen DeAngelis is a technology and supply chain sector entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in building, financing and operating technology and manufacturing companies. Mr. DeAngelis founded Enterra Solutions, LLC, in 2003 to address the global complexity challenges of corporations and governmental agencies. To address these challenges, he invented a patented best-practices system diagnostic methodology and a rule set automation technology platform (Enterra's Core Kernel) that effectively uses artificial intelligence to Sense, Think/Learn and Act in real time. The Kernel helps decision makers identify challenges and take actions to remediate them within the appropriate decision cycle. Enterra currently applies this technology to service manufacturers and their supply chain partners in the consumer products and retail sectors.
In December 2006, Mr. DeAngelis was recognized as one of Esquire magazine's "Best and Brightest" honorees as "The Innovator." In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mr. DeAngelis was a visiting scientist at Carnegie Mellon's Software Engineering Institute (SEI), where he began collaborating in 2004. Mr. DeAngelis was formerly a Visiting Scientist at the Mathematical and Computational Sciences Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and a member of their Center for Advanced Studies.
Prior to Enterra, Mr. DeAngelis founded and served as CEO of IndustryNetworks, LLC, a supply chain technology company, where he launched the first Web-service-enabled supply chain management system. He was also President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercer Industrial Holdings, LLC, and its portfolio firm, Technical Coatings Industries, Inc., a specialty chemicals industry manufacturing company. Additionally, Mr. DeAngelis founded a strategy and government affairs consulting firm in Washington, DC and was a member of the Bank of Boston's Strategic Planning Group in the Office of the Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. DeAngelis earned a B.A. degree in International Affairs from the School of International Service at American University. He has served on a number of Boards of Directors including the Hepatitis B Foundation, the Association for Enterprise Integration of the National Defense Industrial Association, the Pearl S. Buck International, and Sasha Bruce Youthworks in Washington, DC.

Jason Glazier, Ph.D., CFA, FLMI, Senior Vice President, Chief Scientist and Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Jason Glazier has two decades of experience in the financial and information technology fields. As Enterra's Chief Technology Officer & Chief Scientist, he is responsible for the development and delivery of technology solutions, both internally and on behalf of clients.
Prior to joining Enterra, Dr. Glazier was senior vice president, chief technology officer and chief e-commerce officer of Lincoln Financial Group and a member of its Executive Steering Committee. Before joining Lincoln, Dr. Glazier was with Merrill Lynch U.S. Private Client Group, where he served as chief technology officer responsible for all retail customer and broker channels including the websites for Merrill Lynch Direct, Merrill Lynch Online and Benefits Online. He also was responsible for the firm's new banking strategy, retail order management and small business services division. Prior to the sale of his D.E. Shaw & Co. division to Merrill Lynch, Dr. Glazier was a division president, where he directed three global divisions including FarSight Financial Services, one of the first Internet broker/dealers. While a full-time doctoral student, he founded a Wall Street software company in New York specializing in the analysis and trading of mortgage-backed securities and complex-structured bonds. He sold this company to Thomson Financial in 1995. He has received multiple CIO/CTO awards, has published numerous articles in journals, and previously served as an adjunct professor at Columbia University.
Dr. Glazier holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Columbia University, as well as a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and held Series 7, 24 and 63 registrations with the National Association of Securities Dealers. He holds with honors the Life Office Management Association designations of FLMI, AAPA and ACS.
TopMajor General Nolan Sklute, USAF (retired), Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel
As Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, Major General Nolan Sklute, USAF (retired), oversees all Enterra administration and contracts with the federal government. General Sklute brings over 40 years of legal and contractual experience to his position.
As the Air Force Judge Advocate General, General Sklute was the chief military attorney for the Air Force and served as legal advisor to the Air Force Chief of Staff and senior Air Force leaders. He was responsible for the delivery of a full range of legal services throughout the Air Force, and he functionally supervised a legal organization with more than 2,500 military and civilian attorneys in 150 offices throughout the world. During his career, he served as the Chief Counsel for what was then Air Force Logistics Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio – a multibillion dollar logistics organization, with more than 80,000 civilian employees assigned to the Command. He also served as the Commander of the Air Force Contract Law Center and was responsible for representing Air Force interests in administrative contract litigation before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, with a caseload valued at more than $500 million. Following his retirement, General Sklute engaged in the private practice of law focused exclusively on Federal Government Contracts, where he represented the interests of Federal Government contractors before administrative tribunals, primarily in bid protests, claims, and a variety of small business issues.
General Sklute holds a B.A. degree from Union College in Schenectady, New York, and a J.D. degree from Cornell Law School. He received his LLM degree in Government Contracts from George Washington University. He is also a graduate of the National War College and the Armed Force Staff College. Among his civic and professional activities, General Sklute has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Judge Advocates Association and as a trustee of the Air Force Judge Advocate General School Foundation. He is currently a member of the Air Force Association and the National War College Alumni Association.
TopJohn Jordan, Chief Financial Officer & Senior Vice President of Operations
Mr. Jordan is a business professional with 23 years of experience in the Consumer Products industry. He has primarily worked across glass, plastics and juvenile products with established brands such as Rubbermaid, Graco, Anchor Hocking and Glad.
Before joining Enterra Solutions, Mr. Jordan served as Vice President of Finance for the Home & Family Group, a $2.5 billion segment of Newell Rubbermaid. In that capacity, Mr. Jordan was focused on planning and strategy for five business units, internal control oversight, and organizational development for the finance function, and he led a business technology team to implement best-practice solutions. During his tenure as Vice President of Finance for Home & Family, Mr. Jordan expanded the business unit coverage from three units to five and led functional development of more than 100 finance professionals worldwide. He also worked with external partners to develop new business models that expanded brand presence in new geographies, product categories, and sales channels.
Prior to assuming that role, Mr. Jordan was Vice President of Finance for several other Newell Rubbermaid companies: Baby & Parenting Essentials (Graco), where he led the acquisition and integration of Teutonia (Germany), Bebesounds (US) and Aprica (Japan); The Burnes Group (Intercraft and Burnes of Boston), where he led a business turnaround and eventually divestiture of the business to Cerberus; and Anchor Hocking, where he led the consolidation of the retail and OEM business units, improving profitability and allowing them to remain cost competitive in a very capital-intense industry. Mr. Jordan joined Newell Rubbermaid in 1998 as a Finance Manager for Anchor Hocking. Prior to joining Newell Rubbermaid, he worked as a Divisional Controller for two small OEM manufacturers in the plastic and metal industries and in a number of finance positions for First Brands Corporation (later division of Clorox) including Senior Business Analyst (Glad); Plant Controller (STP/Simoniz); and Finance Manager for Corporate Warehouse Operations.
Mr. Jordan received his B.S. degree in Accounting from Miami University - Oxford, Ohio, in 1987.
TopSteven Sermarini, Chief Data Architect
Mr. Sermarini is an experienced technology leader with more than two decades of experience in creating innovative software and analytical data solutions. He has the proven ability to provide tactical and strategic technology leadership in order to support the overall business goals of Enterra's customers. Prior to joining Enterra Solutions, Mr. Sermarini was the Principal Data Warehouse Architect at SEI, a leading global provider of asset management, investment processing, and investment operations solutions for institutional and personal wealth management. While with SEI, he was responsible for design, development and performance of the Global Wealth Platform Data Warehouse. He also initiated a Data Architecture Process Improvement Board, led a Data Architecture Review Panel, introduced a Metadata Management process, designed a new data life-cycle management approach, and defined standards for Data Warehouse, metadata and model reviews.
Prior to SEI, Mr. Sermarini was the Lead Data Solution Architect for the Chase Card Services (CCS) division at JPMorgan Chase. In that capacity, he delivered a marketing data analytics target state strategy that consolidated systems into a single platform, providing better analytical insights and resulting in significant annual savings. His solution centered on deploying the first Hadoop cluster at CCS.
As an independent consultant principally responsible for the development of the Data Warehouse, ETL, Integration and Reporting Architectures for the National Science Foundation (NSF) STAR Project, Mr. Sermarini was part of a small team that successfully delivered the pilot project. STAR combines disparate data from many areas of public and private sectors to demonstrate the effective results that public grants [provided through the NSF, National Institution of Health (NIH), Department of Energy (DOE) and other agencies] had on job creation, patents, citations, creation of products and companies, follow-on grants and other economic benefits. Summary results of the pilot project were published in the Economic Report of the President (Chapter 10, starting on page 269) presented to Congress in February of 2010.
Before joining JPMorgan Chase, Mr. Sermarini was the Principal Database Architect in the AOL Behavioral Advertising division of America OnLine (AOL). In that role, he designed, built, and supported an industry-leading, multi-tier clickstream data warehouse with audience segmentation for targeted advertising having greater than 90% Internet reach. This data warehouse amassed and managed an audience population of more than 300 million distinct members, with a total warehouse size of approximately 70 TB and more than 1.5 billion events per day.
Before working at AOL, Mr. Sermarini worked as Senior Database Architect for Primavera Systems, Inc.; ran a private consulting business that worked with clients in the financial services and business-to-business sectors; and, for several years, worked as a Database Administrator for Lockheed Martin on classified projects.
Mr. Sermarini has a B.S. degree in Business Management (with a minor in Computer Science) from West Chester University, and he is completing an M.S. degree in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He also holds a certificate in Project Management from Boston University and received training in Agile development methods from Ken Schwaber, one of the founders of SCRUM.
TopSamir Rohatgi, Vice President of Engineering
Samir Rohatgi joined Enterra Solutions with more than 15 years of managerial leadership. As Vice President of Engineering, he has direct management responsibility for Enterra's Engineering staff of programmers, ontologists, and rule builders, as well as project and delivery management. Prior to joining Enterra Solutions, Mr. Rohatgi was the Vice President of the Industry Solutions Group at MindBox, a firm that provides software and services to implement advanced technology solutions specifically involving the capture and automation of rules and policies. While with MindBox, he led the company's migration from custom consulting to market-driven solutions within multiple verticals. Before assuming his role as Vice President of Industry Solutions at MindBox, he served as Vice President of Professional Services. Mr. Rohatgi was a key participant in the creation of MindBox as well as its subsequent sale to MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates. As a co-founder and member of the executive team, he had specific responsibility for project implementations and sales support.
Before joining MindBox, Mr. Rohatgi worked as Director of Professional Services at Brightware, Inc., a company that provides software utilizing advanced technology (rules, case-based reasoning and natural language processing) for e-commerce and automated email response as well as other custom solutions. Before assuming responsibility for the regional Professional Services group, Mr. Rohatgi worked as a Senior Knowledge Engineer in that group and was responsible for project management as well as software design and development for multiple artificial-intelligence-based projects.
Prior to his work with Brightware, Mr. Rohatgi worked as Senior Knowledge Engineer for the Inference Corporation, one of the pioneer companies in the commercialization of artificial intelligence – providing software and services for a variety of decision-making applications in defense, telecommunications and financial services. While there, he was a team leader in software design and development for multiple artificial-intelligence-based projects.
Mr. Rohatgi has an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a B.S. (with honors) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton (UK).
TopDarrel Lowery, Vice President, Federal Programs
As Vice President, Federal Programs, Darrel Lowery is responsible for the structuring of all bids and proposals, capture and teaming, technical sales and program management efforts for all of Enterra Solutions' federal engagements. These include the planning and deployment of Enterprise Resilience Management Solutions™ for national security infrastructure (including the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Energy, and Justice, and the Intelligence Community as well as critical infrastructure industries) and other civilian agencies such as DOE and NASA.
An IT leader with more than 25 years of program management, engineering, and business development experience, Mr. Lowery has an extensive background in information technology, systems engineering and integration, systems safety, logistics, and training analyses. He comes to Enterra Solutions from NCI Information Systems, where he served as Vice President of Civilian Operations, directing new business initiatives and technology solution applications for the NCI Civilian Programs Group on engagements for NASA, the Department of Energy, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the Veterans Administration.
An authority on enterprise solutions and information assurance, Mr. Lowery served as a co-chair on The Association for Enterprise Integration's Information Assurance and Security Working Group. He has led numerous technology and security projects for commercial and government customers. His most recent efforts include development of a secure information sharing framework that enables federated groups to share their information with partners using automated security policies and situational awareness.
Prior to NCI Information Systems, Mr. Lowery served as Director of Operations for Net Commerce Corporation, as Director of the Technology Transfer Group of AmerInd Inc., and as a Senior Logistics Engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding. He was founder and President of Houston, Texas, development firm Matrix Land Co., and he was a Mechanical Engineer at the Naval Underwater Systems Center.
Mr. Lowery has worked extensively in such areas as secure information systems, network operations support, Solution as a Service (SaaS) software, submarine and surface ship systems design, and technical training programs for the DOD, FEMA, FAA, and other federal agencies. He holds a B.S. degree in Maritime Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University.
TopDenise McAuliffe, Vice President, Human Resources
Ms. McAuliffe joins Enterra as a seasoned staffing professional with more than 18 years of experience in recruiting expertise, both hands-on and management. Her experience is in recruiting Information Technology Professionals in a wide variety of disciplines from entry level to executive hires. Additional industry experience includes E-Commerce, Telecommunications, Sales, and Healthcare.
Ms. McAuliffe has played significant roles in both corporate recruiting and staffing agency environments. In corporate recruiting, she was an integral part of the human resource team tasked with meeting the hiring needs of key positions. While working in a staffing agency capacity, she recruited contractual and permanent-placement candidates for select clients nationwide.
Prior to joining Enterra Solutions, Ms. McAuliffe held the position of Senior Technical Recruiter at Paragon Computer Professionals, a national IT Consulting firm. She was responsible for recruiting IT professionals in a wide variety of disciplines for Fortune 500 clients in the Southeast.
Other positions previously held by Ms. McAuliffe include Staffing Manager for Industry Networks, a national business-to-business e-commerce company; Director of Staffing for MCI/Systemhouse, an international consulting/outsourcing IT company; Account Exec/Sr. Technical Recruiter for Abraxas International, a telecommunications consulting/placement firm; and Technical Recruiter for Cap Gemini America and Computer Horizons Corporation, national IT consulting firms.
Ms. McAuliffe holds an Associate in Applied Science degree, with a concentration in Business Administration, from Nassau Community College in Garden City, New York.
TopGlenn Elias, Vice President, Client Operations Group
As Vice President of Client Operations Group, Glenn Elias helped to form Enterra's Client Operations Group as part of the company's Professional Services Team. His responsibilities include creating consistent processes for our overall delivery strategy.
Mr. Elias has more than 26 years experience in research, consulting, delivery services and client management for a broad range of technologies and vertical markets. Prior to joining Enterra, he was part of the executive team at TMXinteractive, Inc., a full-service digital communications and technology agency that works with clients in financial services, telecommunications, technology and pharmaceutical industries.
Previously, Mr. Elias was a charter member of the artificial intelligence solutions provider Brightware. His roles at the company included those of Senior Consultant, Regional Consulting Manager (North Central US), Consulting Director (Western US), Director of Product Services (North America), and a strategic role as Senior Director, North American Core Services. In the latter position, he focused on integration services, knowledge management, intellectual property, education services and consulting operations. Mr. Elias founded the Brightware Product Services applications delivery group to focus on the successful delivery of application products, thus expanding the company's then-traditional software consulting offerings. Brightware was a spinoff of Inference Corporation where Mr. Elias first joined as a senior consultant. Inference was the first publically traded artificial intelligence company.
Prior to Brightware and Inference Corporation, Mr. Elias was a Senior Member of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the General Electric Aerospace Advanced Technology Labs, where he applied his skills to program management in the area of cognitive science and knowledge-based system technology. Prior to his stint at GE, he was a member of Westinghouse Research and Development Center's Human Sciences Laboratory, where he worked on projects in intelligent system development, applied cognitive psychology, and human factors engineering in a variety of domains.
Mr. Elias holds a B.S. degree in Cognitive Psychology, with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence, from Carnegie-Mellon University.
TopFred Stangl, Senior Solutions Architect & Principal Developer
Fred Stangl has more than 30 years of experience in engineering, information systems integration and analysis, and naval aviation. The co-inventor of Enterra's patented Enterprise Resilience Management™ Methodology, Mr. Stangl is using his skills to reduce complex business problems into simple software solutions to develop integrated systems that meet the enterprise resilience needs of Enterra's clients. For example, Mr. Stangl developed the user interfaces for the Enterra Supply Chain Assurance Platform™ (ESCAPE™) that enabled Enterra's major clients to win industry awards and increase Enterra's recognition as a leading provider of Rule Set Automation technology.
Before joining Enterra Solutions, Mr. Stangl was the Director of Software Development with Dynamic Performance, Inc., where his work with clients in accounting, law, manufacturing, human resources, engineering, architecture, and other fields gave him a well-rounded view of the varied needs of different business models. He has also worked as an engineer and systems analyst with companies such as Congoleum Corporation and Procter & Gamble. Before entering the private sector, Mr. Stangl achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, where he started his career as a naval aviator. He flew Lockheed P-3C Orion maritime patrol planes during the "Cold War," hunting and tracking Soviet submarines in the North Atlantic and Mediterranean theatres of operation.
Mr. Stangl is retired from the U.S. Navy Reserves, where he served as an Aeronautical Engineering Duty Officer with the Naval Air Systems Command, and he is also a Certified Boating Safety Instructor in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He is fluent in French from having lived and studied for four years in Paris, France, in his youth as a U.S. Army dependent. Mr. Stangl holds an M.S. degree in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas and a B.S. degree in Astronomy from Penn State University. He is trained and certified in the OCTAVE Risk and Vulnerability Assessment Model by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University.
TopBradd Hayes, Senior Director, Communications & Research
Bradd Hayes is Senior Director, Communications and Research, at Enterra Solutions, LLC. Prior to joining Enterra, he was a research professor in the Warfare Analysis and Research Department of the Center for Naval Warfare Studies, Naval War College, Newport, RI. A retired U.S. Navy captain, he served as the Deputy Director of the Naval War College's Strategic Research Department from August 1992 to retirement in 1996. Prior to assuming that position, he was the Strategy and Policy Officer for the Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe, in London, from 1989 to 1992. While there, he served as a member of the Naval Force Capabilities Planning Effort that helped develop concepts eventually published in the Navy's white paper From the Sea. Previous appointments included command of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Six aboard USS Enterprise (1988–89), followed by a tour as a Federal Executive Fellow with the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, California.
With his colleague, Professor Hank Kamradt, Mr. Hayes headed the Vice Chief of Naval Operations Task Force Sierra, which developed the Sea Swap concept and sowed the seeds for the innovative Fleet Response Plan. With other colleagues, he facilitated a series of workshops during which the characteristics for a new class of Navy ship, the Littoral Combat Ship, were developed. The results of those workshops provided the basis for the Navy's request for proposals to industry. Mr. Hayes also has been engaged by government and non-government organizations to help them with strategic planning; he led strategic planning exercises for the NYPD and the FDNY in the immediate aftermath of the attacks on September 11, 2001.
Mr. Hayes is the author of numerous publications on innovation and national security issues, including Leveraging for Success in United Nations Peace Operations (with Jean Krasno and Donald C.F. Daniel, Praeger, October 2003); Coercive Inducement and the Containment of Crises (with Professor Don Daniel, United States Institute of Peace Press, 1999); Doing Windows: Non-traditional Military Responses to Complex Emergencies (with Jeffrey Sands, CCRP, 1998); Beyond Traditional Peacekeeping [an edited volume with Don Daniel, Macmillan Press Ltd (UK) and St. Martin's Press (US) 1995]; and The Politics of Naval Innovation (Center for Naval Warfare Studies, 1994).
Mr. Hayes holds a B.S. degree (cum laude) in Political Science from the University of Utah and an M.S. degree (graduating with distinction) in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School. While at the Naval Postgraduate School, he was the first recipient of the US Naval Institute's award for academic achievement.
