QA Analyst
Job Summary:
Enterra Solutions is looking for skilled Quality Assurance Analysts to Perform QA for development efforts within the company and for client engagements.
- Perform and provide expertise in the creation and execution of standard automated test environments, automated test plans, and automated test cases.
- Perform and provide expertise in conducting automated unit, integration, system, regression, load, performance and User Acceptance Testing.
- Perform/provide expertise in testing requirements, design and other project deliverables.
- Provide technical expertise to assist developers, project leads, infrastructure, business analysts, and business users in the delivery of high quality solutions.
- Ensure the business requirements are testable and assist in the conversion of business requirements into testing plan requirements.
- Partner and build relationships within the technology group, Project Management Office, and a variety of business groups to assist in achieving mutual goals and objectives.
- Seek out information, ask questions, and seek feedback to determine how and why things are done in order to analyze ways to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of business rules, workflows/processes, application features/interfaces/functions/flows, of various industries.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 5+ yrs in Quality Assurance/Testing
- Experience testing process reengineering projects
- Exhibit a superior understanding and ability to apply proven QA techniques and methods
- Possess demonstrated competence in combination of tools and techniques. Strong experience in various testing methods and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each
- Experience in setting up automated test environments and using standard QA automation tools (e.g. Mercury QuickTestPro/WinRunner, Rational Robot/TestStudio, etc.)
- Experience in writing data-driven test cases using SQL queries.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast changing environment
- Understanding of UML, use cases, process maps, etc.
- Possess or have demonstrated the ability to acquire a working knowledge of databases, operating systems, and other technical infrastructure components (e.g. Oracle, Java/J2EE, Web Standards, and/or rules based technologies, etc.)
- Experience/knowledge of change management process and tools (e.g. CVS)
- Ability to offer constructive feedback in requirements, design, test plans and code reviews
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast changing environment
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience with BPEL
- Experience with Ontologies
